Olight ArkPro Ultra – slim multi-tool light (Spot/Flood/Laser/UV)

The Olight ArkPro Ultra is the top model of the flat ArkPro series: 124 × 27 × 16 mm, 120 g, unibody made of O-Aluminium, four light sources – flood up to 1,700 lumens, spot with 800 lumens and 205 m, UV at 365 nm and a Class 1 green laser. A selector dial switches the light source, and the laser runs independently alongside – seven configurations for anyone who wants to carry work light, UV inspection and a pointing aid flat in their pocket.

Four light sources, seven configurations

The flood light (“Pure Flood”) uses Olight’s first in-house LED, the EIP 1: according to the manufacturer, 134 lumens per watt at 14.5 W and a DUV value below 0.006 – neutral white without colour cast for close range up to about five metres. The spot focuses to 10,640 candela and 205 m. The UV light operates at 365 nm and up to 1,200 mW, making residues, security features and markings fluoresce. In the version offered by Olight Germany, the green laser (510–530 nm) is a Class 1 laser with a maximum output of 0.39 mW (EN 50689:2021, Consumer Laser Product) – a pointing laser whose beam, according to Olight, is visible to varying degrees depending on particles in the air.

Operation: selector dial, two switches, lockout

The selector dial chooses flood, spot or UV. The central switch turns the torch on and off, holding changes the brightness, a double click starts Turbo, three presses the strobe (13 Hz), and holding for one second while off gives Moonlight at 1 lumen. The side switch belongs to the laser: one press switches it, holding while off gives momentary operation; press both switches one after the other and light and laser run together.

Locking: hold the central switch for about two seconds while off, unlocking takes about one second; a lock symbol in the display confirms it. The torch comes locked from the factory and is activated by the first charge. The display shows brightness in white and battery level in green; three bars instead of four in Turbo mean a low battery or temperature regulation. The Ultra’s ArkBeat pulses when switched on and changes its colour with usage time from white (2 h) to purple (128 h); it can be fixed or switched off.

Battery, charging, housing

A lithium-polymer battery with 2,000 mAh (3.7 V, 7.4 Wh) is permanently built in. Charging is via USB-C (around 1.5 hours) or the magnetic MCC cable on the back (around 3 hours); USB-C takes priority. An MCC cable is included, a USB-C cable is not. In Turbo, the flood light holds 3 minutes at 1,700 lumens and then steps down to 520 lumens for 140 minutes; Medium runs for 13 hours, Moonlight for 14 days. Olight’s worked example: 30 minutes of Medium per day gives around 26 days until the next charge.

The housing is milled from a single block of OAL™, Olight’s aluminium alloy, according to the manufacturer 1.73 times harder than 6061 aluminium. At 16 mm thick, the torch carries flat; the two-way clip and magnetic back hold it on clothing or steel. Water protection IPX7, operating range 0 to 45 °C; an optional ArkPro holster with charging capability is available.

ArkPro Ultra or Baton Turbo?

Within the series, the ArkPro (without suffix) has the same four light sources with identical spot, UV and laser values, but 1,500 lumens of flood, 6061 aluminium (115 g) and no ArkBeat. Against a round torch such as the Olight Baton Turbo you trade versatility for range: it throws 1,000 lumens to 510 m with a replaceable 18350 battery, but offers neither UV nor laser. If you want to see far, take the Baton Turbo; if you want to inspect, point and illuminate, the ArkPro Ultra. For the keyring, the Olight i3T 2 EOS is the complement.
