Which Holosun sight is right for me?
The model numbers follow a simple system: the K series (e.g. HS407K X2) is the most compact form factor for subcompact and carry pistols. The C series (HS407C, HS507C, HE507C) is the standard for full-size duty and sport pistols. 407 models offer a classic 2 MOA dot, 507 models add the multi-reticle system with selectable dot, 32 MOA circle or both combined.
For long guns: the open HS510C with QD mount is the classic for semi-auto rifles and shotguns; enclosed models such as AEMS or HE512T additionally protect the LED from weather and impact. Combined with an HM3X or HM6X flip-to-side magnifier, the reflex sight becomes a mid-range optic on demand.
Special feature of the SCS series (Solar Charging Sight): it mounts directly on Walther PDP or Glock MOS without an adapter plate and, thanks to its solar cell with internal buffer battery, never needs a battery change. On colour: green reticles (GR) are faster to pick up in daylight for many eyes, red (RD) remains the power-saving classic. Shake-Awake and up to 50,000 hours of runtime are standard on all current models.

Which Holosun footprint fits my pistol?
The K series (407K/507K) uses the compact RMSc footprint for carry pistols, the C series (407C/507C) the RMR standard for full-size models. The SCS variants mount directly on Walther PDP or Glock MOS without an adapter plate.
What is the difference between Holosun 407 and 507?

Do I need a model with a solar cell?
The solar cell is a backup: if the battery fails, the sight keeps running in light. On the SCS models it replaces battery changes entirely thanks to an internal buffer battery. With Shake-Awake and up to 50,000 hours of runtime, the battery-only models are extremely enduring too.
