What is new on the Holosun HS407C X3?
The X3 is a focused evolution of the established 407C platform. Its hard-anodised 7075-T6 aluminium housing has been modernised and reinforced. A forward-facing photodiode reads changing ambient light more directly and works with Solar Failsafe to manage automatic brightness. The side-loading CR1632 tray remains accessible without removing the optic from its mount.

- Precise 2 MOA red dot: one clean dot reticle; this is not a selectable multi-reticle optic.
- Solar Failsafe + front sensor: automatic response to changing ambient light.
- Shake Awake, memory and lockout: motion activation, last-setting memory and protection against accidental changes.
Optics, brightness and battery life
The multi-coated window provides 1× magnification and unlimited eye relief. Its 650 nm red Super LED offers eight daylight and four night-vision-compatible brightness settings. Automatic brightness, manual control and lockout mode are all available.
Holosun states up to 100,000 hours of runtime depending on mode, brightness and use. The technical manufacturer specification at brightness setting 6 is 50,000 hours. Power comes from a side-loading CR1632 battery.
