Mounts & adapters: the underrated link

The best optic is useless if the mount gives way. Decisive are the correct ring diameter (25.4 / 30 / 34 mm), the right height (as low as possible, as high as necessary – e.g. for objective clearance or co-witness with iron sights) and the interface standard (Picatinny, Weaver, M-LOK). QD quick-release mounts let you remove the optic without tools and return to zero.
