The extremely rugged housing of the Viper PST, with a 30 mm main tube diameter, is machined from a single piece of aluminium. The Vortex ArmorTek coating protects the outer lenses from dirt, grease and scratches. O-ring seals make the PST waterproof and prevent the ingress of dust and dirt. Thanks to the high-quality XD™ lens elements, the Vortex Viper PST delivers a clean, sharp and distortion-free image even at dusk. The Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 is XR™ Multi-Coated: The unique lens coating ensures first-class light transmission and excellent anti-reflective performance on all glass surfaces. Argon gas purging prevents internal fogging. The illuminated reticle of the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2, adjustable in 10 levels, is equal to any situation. 3 levels for dusk and 5 levels for daytime shooting leave nothing to be desired. Between each of the 10 illumination levels there is an “OFF” position for quickly finding your preferred illumination intensity and, of course, for saving battery life. On the PST Gen 2, the illumination dial is positioned on the side at turret height, making it easy to operate in a wide variety of shooting positions.
