The Zangtal shooting arena, located in a former coal mining area of 35 hectares, offers a unique environment for shooting sports. Coal has been mined here for over 230 years and the area now serves as a modern shooting range. The facility has 21 bullet ranges, 7 shotgun ranges and 8 pistol ranges, which can be used for training and marksmanship tests. In addition to the shooting ranges, the shooting arena offers a Kettner store with its own gunsmith’s workshop and a café for visitors. Further training opportunities are offered through lectures and seminars in a training center. The facility, which is easily accessible and well equipped, not only serves sport shooters and hunters, but also promotes training and further education in shooting sports.
