The Sportschützenclub Wien (SCW) specializes in practical pistol shooting in accordance with the rules of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). The club has one of the largest indoor shooting ranges in Europe, located in the center of Vienna and comprising nine ventilated underground shooting lanes. The facility offers a variety of target types, including running targets, pendulum targets, reversible targets and steel targets such as plates, gongs and poppers. It should be noted that only handguns may be used at the range; the use of rifles and shotguns is not permitted. Shooting times for members are daily from 8 am to 10 pm. The club does not operate a public shooting range.
